Red hot favourite in the Blue Diamond Stakes odds at Luxbet is the Peter Snowden-trained Sepoy.

A winner on debut in the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (1000m) at Flemington last October, Elusive Quality colt remains unbeaten having also taken out the Listed Blue Diamond Preview at Caulfield last start on January 26.

The Preview win saw Sepoy soar to the top of the 2011 Blue Diamonds Stakes betting markets.

Redoute’s Choice filly Glissade and Exceed And Excel colt Helmet were also paid up for at Blue Diamond Stakes third declaration stage yesterday for Darley Australia and Snowden.

Winner of the Blue Diamond Fillies Preview, Peter Moody’s One Last Dance is another notable third acceptor for the Group 1 Blue Diamond.

Also an unbeaten two-year-old with back-to-back wins to their name, Encosta De Lago filly One Last Dance is one of the top fancies in the early Blue Diamond odds, however her Preview win was gritty and not nearly as impressive as Sepoy in the colts’ equivalent.

Other runners from Moody’s stable still vying for a spot in the 2011 Blue Diamond Stakes field include Metonymy and Covered In Class both racing in the $100,000 Listed Chairman’s Handicap (1100m) at Caulfield this Saturday.

The horse that ran a close second to One Last Dance in the Preview, the Tim Martin-trained Anevay is also still heading towards the Blue Diamond Stakes showdown.

Blue Diamond Stakes third entries also include Clarry Conner’s Flying Spur filly Satin Shoes who impressed in a speedy barrier trial win at Rosehill earlier in the week, Dane Shadow filly Holdontoyahorses, Blue Diamond Colts Preview runner-up Grand Britannia, surprise last-start winner of the Routley’s Plate Delago’s Lad and the John Thompson-trained Pane In The Glass unbeaten in her three race starts.

The 2011 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Stakes final field will be released on Tuesday, February 11 and published here so bookmark this site.
