Race favourite Catchy is yet to taste anything but success through her short career, but will undoubtedly require luck in running and her best performance to date this weekend after drawing into the 2017 Blue Diamond Stakes field in barrier 13.

Debuting for a smart win in the William Hill Plate (1000m) at Moonee Valley on December 9th, Catchy returned to the races this year for a comfortable triumph in the Peter Siggins Plate (1100m) on January 7th; beating home the likes of Property.

Having made a perfect transition to black type company when taking out the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude F (1100m) a fortnight ago, Catchy will be partnered by Craig Williams and should prove extremely tough to beat on Saturday, on ability alone.

The Lindsay Park operation has dominated the 2017 Blue Diamond Stakes field after confirming four juveniles further to Catchy, including Formality (barrier 12) and Tulip (barrier 8).

Formality is also yet to taste anything but success, having won each of the Better Solar Maiden (1100m) and Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes (1000m).

Tulip debuted to racing to win the 1Print Plate (1000m) on New Year’s Eve, but could only manage second to Limestone in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview F (1000m) last time out on Australia Day.

Tony McEvoy is another trainer who is well represented in the 2017 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes field after confirming Azazel (barrier 1), Aspect (barrier 14) and Roomooz (barrier 5).

Property stormed home to win the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude C&G (1100m) a fortnight ago and could very well receive the run of the race in the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes form barrier 3.

Property debuted for second behind Catchy in early January, but responded in the best possible to win the Listed Blue Diamond Preview C&G (1000m) on Australia Day.

Hong Kong hoop Joao Moreira will fly in to take the ride on Property in the Blue Diamond Stakes and the gelding is primed for a big performance in the race.

Ciaron Maher has been thrilled with the class displayed by Jukebox so far and the colt has drawn ideally into the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes field in barrier 4.

Debuting to racing for success in the Bet365 Maiden (1100m) on January 12th, the Snitzel colt stormed home to win the Inglis Premier (1200m) by two lengths last time out on February 4th.
