Catchy is yet to taste anything but success through an impressive career start and remains the outright $5 favourite in 2017 Blue Diamond Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au, ahead of Pariah ($5.50) and Tulip ($6.50).

Will Catchy justify favouritism and win the 2017 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes, or will one of her talented rivals post an upset?

Jukebox ($7.50)

Jukebox has stamped himself as a colt to follow through his short racing career so far and should prove extremely tough to beat in the Blue Diamond Stakes from barrier 3 and with Luke Nolen in the saddle. Debuting for a comfortable win in the Bet365 Maiden Plate (1100m) on January 12th, the Snitzel colt was last seen charging home to deliver a talented field a two-length defeat in the Inglis Premier (1200m) on February 4th. Ciaron Maher’s stable is flying and Jukebox should be right in the finish of the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes.

Catchy ($5)

Catchy has arguably been the best two-year-old leading into the Blue Diamond Stakes, but her chances of success took a hit on Tuesday when she was allocated the awkward barrier 12. Debuting for a comfortable win in the William Hill Plate (1000m) at Moonee Valley in early December, Catchy repeated the dose in the Peter Siggins Plate (1100m) before making a successful transition to black type company in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude F (1100m) a fortnight ago. Craig Williams has elected to take the ride on the daughter of Fastnet Rock, who is weighted well as a filly at 54.5kgs.

Roomooz ($16)

Roomooz is something of a forgotten runner in the 2017 Blue Diamond Stakes field, but could very well receive the run of the race from barrier 4 and represents terrific value at $16 to win, or $4.60 to finish in the first three. Posting a smart win at Morphettville on debut on January 7th, the daughter of Fastnet Rock was last seen hitting the line well for fourth in the Blue Diamond Prelude F following a luckless run. Dwayne Dunn has retained the ride on the filly.
