The Not A Single Doubt filly from Adelaide had won both her previous race starts back home in South Australia, however, scored her first east coast win in the $120,000 race.

Miracles Of Life won the race by an incredible four and a half lengths ahead of Diamond Glow, who placed second, and Swing Vote, who finished third.

Trainer Daniel Clarken could not believe just how well Miracles Of Life performed in the 2013 Blue Diamond Preview.

“That was crazy,” Clarken said after the race.

“We’ll get her home and see how everything goes but it will be straight into the Diamond now. This is bizarre. Berserk, just berserk.”

Regular jockey Lauren Stojakovic was aboard Miracles Of Life for her 2013 Blue Diamond Preview win and she is hopeful she will be given the ride in the $1 million Blue Diamond Stakes.

“You keep the faith,” she said.

“I was always told to believe in myself and that I could do it.

You don’t become a great jockey without getting the opportunities and I’m grateful to Dan and (owner) Iris (O’Farrell) for that opportunity and helping me believe in myself.

“Hopefully it will be hard for them to take me off now.

“The owners and Daniel (Clarken, trainer) were all really rapt with the win and how I handled myself.

“If I’m given the chance it would be awesome.”

The races are the first of two lead-up races for each sex to the $1 million Blue Diamond Stakes on February 25, 2012.

The 2012 Blue Diamond Preview for Colts and Gelding was won by The Travelling Man, who won the race by 1.3 lengths.

It was the second start for The Travelling Man, who finished fourth in the Listed Inglis Debutante in October last year.

“He did so much wrong at his first start but he still raced quite well,” Laurie said.

The Blue Diamond Preview for Fillies was won by first time runner Malasun.

Malasun also won the race by 1.3 lengths and will now go on towards the 2012 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Applegate is nominated to run in the 2012 Blue Diamond Stakes for fillies at Caulfield this Saturday January 27, 2012.

“She is in Melbourne, we are there and ready to go, but I just want to see how she works on Tuesday morning,” Snowden said yesterday.

“I am leaning towards not running.

“We still have a few options and can give her a barrier trial instead.

“The Blue Diamond is where we are heading and if she doesn’t run she will kick off in the Prelude a fortnight before the main race.”

Applegate won on debut in the Listed Emirates Airline Plate for two-year-old fillies on November 1, 2011.

Jockey Kerrin McEvoy has made it known that he is willing to ride Applegate at any occasion this autumn racing carnival.

The Elusive Quality two-year-old cemented his place as overwhelming favourite after convincingly winning the Blue Diamond Stakes Preview for Colts and Geldings by 3.5 lengths on February 12, 2011.

Peter Snowden’s Sepoy remains unbeaten after three runs that have seen him earn $195,000 in prize money.

Despite winning both the Blue Diamond Prelude and the Blue Diamond Preview, a win in the 2011 Blue Diamond Stakes will not see Sepoy claim the $1 million bonus for winning all three races due to a technicality.

In order to claim the bonus, the fields in which the winning horse competes in each of the three Blue Diamond stages must contain a minimum of 12 runners.

One Last Dance has also remained unbeaten throughout her three start career.

Amongst the juveniles to be confirmed a place after the ballot was released is Clarry Conners’ Satin Shoes.

Satin Shoes has firmed up in the betting after her seemingly effortless win of Listed Widden Stakes on February 12.

Satin Shoes will hope to make it four from four wins with a victory in the 2011 Blue Diamond Stakes and is currently third favourite in the betting order, paying $13.
